Saratoga Springs Lions Club Foundation Inc.
The Saratoga
Springs Lions Club has formed the Saratoga Springs
Lions Club Foundation Inc., a 501(c)3 corporation,
that will enable the Club to further its work in
sight and hearing conservation, diabetes and youth
programs.
The new
Foundation will provide an opportunity for
tax-deductible donations, including memorial
contributions and honorariums, to our all volunteer
organization.
Board members of the corporation are J. Randy
Martin, president; Philip W. Klein,
vice-president; Brian Fredette, Treasurer; Norman
Smith, secretary; Daniel R. Kumlander, Milford
Lester and L. Clifford Van Wagner, trustees. All
are members of the Saratoga Springs Lions Club and
all members of the Club are members of the
Foundation.
Our brochure
will explain what we are and what we expect to do to
help those less fortunate than ourselves.
We plan to put
75% of our funds raised in an endowment fund and the
remaining 25% would be used as requests for
donations arise. Our ultimate goal is to be able to
fund the largest donations of our club and all
requests for funds would come to the Foundation from
the Saratoga Lions.
We see a lot
of possibilities for great things with this new
foundation.
