COURSE DESCRIPTION: Run- A moderately challenging course including both hills and downgrades. Start, finish and much of the race is on the beautiful Skidmore College Campus. Bike- A flat 5 mile loop on rural roads repeated four times.

DIRECTIONS:  It is easy to get to Saratoga Springs along the major interstates 90 (east-west) and 87 (north-south). Take Exit 15 from I 87. Turn left at the stop sign onto Rt. 50, heading towards the city of Saratoga Springs. At the fourth traffic light, make a right onto East Ave., following the signs for Skidmore College. Continue up the hill to the stop sign on North Broadway. Make a right and then a left into the main entrance of the College. Follow the perimeter road south to the Athletic Center

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
- Only Registered Athletes allowed in the transition area- Race Numbers must be clearly displayed at all times during the race on both runners and bikes (front of runners’ shirts and top tube of your bicycle). Chips are placed on the ankle.
- Teams will consist of two or three participants (male, female, mixed, corporate)
- Athletes must follow all directions of race officials and law enforcement officers
- No headphones permitted in either the running or biking legs



RUN:
The 5k run course begins on the field behind Skidmore College Athletic  Center, proceeds east on Clement/First St. up North Broadway into Skidmore College and around  the  loop within the perimeter road, exiting the Campus and returning via North Broadway, First/Clement St. to the Start/Finish area on the field.  Runners will run on the left side of street facing traffic going out (East/North) and on the right side returning (South/West).

BIKE:
The bike course consists of four 5 mile loops starting on Clinton St near the entrance to the college, right on Clement St, right on Seward St, under the overpass onto Denton St, right on Locust Grove, right on Daniels back to Clinton, right on Clinton to complete the loop. Traffic will be controlled, however the roads will not be closed. Please exercise caution and follow all directions of race officials and law enforcement officers. Be aware that there are Rail Road Tracks to cross on Daniels Road at approximately the 41/2 mile mark..
- Cyclists must wear approved helmets that are positively secured with chin strap at all times.
- No drafting permitted
(keep at least three bike lengths of clear space from the bike in front)
- Ride on the right hand side of the road at all times- Pass on the left- Bicycles must be walked or jogged out and into the transition area- At the conclusion of the bike leg, bicycles must be replaced in their designated place on the bike rack.

TRANSITION AREA:
In order to protect your bike and equipment, only competitors with race numbers will be allowed in the Transition Area. Bicycles must be placed on assigned racks corresponding to race number. No riding in transition area or past the Dismount area.

RELAY EXCHANGE AREA: The relay team members will exchange their chip in the designated relay exchange area only.
